KAJENG in language of Java mean wood, or can also mean KAREP which in language in Indonesia mean KEINGINAN (Desire). That is desire to lignify teak core waste not just waste, but becoming goods having artistic value very wort, educating, at the same time amuse and definitive earn in accepting wide of society.

In Indonesia language, puzzle is well known as “Teka-Teki”. Here The Puzzle which will be discussed is a toy which has some pieces that should be fixed to be a thing (box,cube,etc). this toy which sharpen the skill and intelligence has been produced in Jogjakarta. Jogjakarta not only famous in the ceramics handicraft and feather handicraft but also the wood puzzle which has been produced by KAJENG Handicraft.


Mandar Utomo as the owner of the KAJENG Handicraft said that when KAJENG Handicraft arisen 1994, he didn’t produce puzzle, but tradisional statue. Then, he thought that statue was not the educative thing so he decided to produce the other thing, at that fine.

Kajeng received a DJI SAM SOE AWARD 2007 recently. This award is given to selected Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) between thousand of candidates.
